Meredith Kennedy is a multimedia journalist and social media enthusiast who graduated in May 2010 from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a Master of Science in digital media. Now she is focused on working to cultivate a network to advance her skills in multimedia reporting and production post-graduation through social networking, following the latest digital trends and managing her personal blog.
As a student at Columbia she worked on a masters project exploring the need to improve the quality of lunches served in New York City public schools. Several cafeteria visits and nutrition lessons later, Meredith, along with her partner, Ishita, launched What’s for Lunch: Serving up salads with a side of wellness in New York City public schools.
Promoting wellness is something Meredith is passionate about both in and out of school. When she is not busy reporting and perfecting her multimedia journalism skills, Meredith enjoys running in Central Park and cooking healthy meals.
